The Fuiko family
The flat hotel MountainVita is a project of the Austrian top chef Franz Fuiko, which he has been running together with his wife Susanne since 2012.
Franz Fuiko was born on 31 July 1964 in Griffen, a village in Kärnten, and began his training as a chef in 1979 at the "Österreichischer Hof" in Pörtschach, which he completed at the "Hotel Zürserhof" on the Arlberg. His path led him to Vienna (Mattes), Marseille (Le Petit Nice), to the M/S Vistafjord of the Cunard Lines, to Ischgl (Hotel Seespitz) and to Vail/Colorado (Gramshammer). In 1987 he returned to Austria and was awarded two Gault Millau toques for the first time as patron of the "Mesnerhaus" in Mauterndorf. In 1994 he was named Austria's "Chef of the Year".
From the end of 2007 to the end of 2017, Franz Fuiko was Michelin Star-crowned chef and general manager of the "Carpe Diem Finest Fingerfood" in Salzburg's Getreidegasse.

Enjoyment at 2000 metres – in the middle of the Obertauern ski area, at the Grünwaldkopfbahn mountain station, we will spoil you with culinary delicacies, a good snack or a nice drink at après ski.

Restaurant "Die Greisslerei"
A son follows in his father's footsteps - Fabian Fuiko has inherited his father's talent. He has already worked in various top kitchens and was able not only to look over the shoulders of master chefs, but also to develop his own style.
With the restaurant "Die Greisslerei" in Oberursel near Frankfurt, he is now fulfilling his dream of his first own restaurant in 2018.
