The flat hotel MountainVita is a project of the Austrian top chef Franz Fuiko, which he has been running together with his wife Susanne since 2012.
Franz Fuiko was born on 31 July 1964 in Griffen, a village in Kärnten, and began his training as a chef in 1979 at the "Österreichischer Hof" in Pörtschach, which he completed at the "Hotel Zürserhof" on the Arlberg. His path led him to Vienna (Mattes), Marseille (Le Petit Nice), to the M/S Vistafjord of the Cunard Lines, to Ischgl (Hotel Seespitz) and to Vail/Colorado (Gramshammer). In 1987 he returned to Austria and was awarded two Gault Millau toques for the first time as patron of the "Mesnerhaus" in Mauterndorf. In 1994 he was named Austria's "Chef of the Year".
From the end of 2007 to the end of 2017, Franz Fuiko was Michelin Star-crowned chef and general manager of the "Carpe Diem Finest Fingerfood" in Salzburg's Getreidegasse.
At the Apartmenthotel MountainVita you have the opportunity to be pampered by the master chef and his partner Susanne with evening menus in an exclusive ambience. We are happy to organise these "Chef Tables" for you from four to a maximum of 16 people on advance reservation. A truly dreamlike treat in wonderful surroundings.
